StudioNow Awards Revolution for “Best Work By Production Company”

Director TK McKamy recently collaborated with Moxie Interactive, AOL StudioNow and Verizon Wireless on a series of web spots. The spots depict the company’s delivery of 4G instant results through the use of comedy and some amazing effects work. Director of Photography James King shot the campaign on Red Epic on location in Los Angeles and Nashville.

Director Roman White teams up with yet another American Idol Finalist

American Idol finalist, James Durbin, pairs with award-winning director Roman White for Durbin’s latest single entitled “Love Me Bad.” White seamlessly brings Durbin’s heartfelt “power ballad” to life. The single is a plead for his ex-girlfriend to love him once again. The video shows a heartbroken Durbin destroying items of the couple’s life together—resembling their broken relationship. The single is off of Durbin’s debut album “Memories of a Beautiful Disaster”, which was released in late 2011. Roman White has previously teamed up with other America Idol contestants including Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson and Scotty McCreery.

Samsung Works with Director Chris Hicky

The Mobile Excellence Awards or MEA’s were held on Monday, December 5th, 2011 in Los Angeles, CA honoring industry superiors at its annual prestigious award ceremony. Director Chris Hicky of Revolution Pictures took place in a campaign for Samsung and its Samsung Infuse 4G, staring country music artist Keith Urban. This Samsung campaign won “Best Brand Marketing Campaign” along with mobile carrier, AT&T. Hicky’s participation in this campaign included a commercial for Samsung’s Infuse 4G mobile phone, featuring Keith Urban in concert. Check out the full commercial by clicking here.

Early Christmas Present from Tenth Ave North

When Tenth Avenue North decided that they wanted to do a children’s pop-up-book style video for their Christmas single “Deck The Halls,” as one continuous shot, they determined that they needed to find a director who was crazy enough to catch the vision. They chose Director Ry Cox, of Revolution Pictures. There was less than a week between the first conceptual meeting and the final shot. Everything about the project was homemade, with Ry and the band designing, building, and painting the props and sets, choreographing the dance and calling on friends and family to volunteer for the cause. Get into the holiday spirit with some good, Christmas fun – complete with an Abominable Snowman.

Pop Star, Cody Simpson premiered his brand new music video today on MTV, “Not Just You.” Last year Simpson’s hit “iYiYi,” his debut single, featured Flo Rida and was an immediate hit with more than 18 million YouTube views. That’s 18. Million. Since then, the pop star has signed with Justin Bieber’s manager, recorded two EPs and has been featured in nearly every mall in America. Simpson filmed “Not Just You” with Revolution Pictures’ director, Roman White on the beaches of Los Angeles. The video also features his co-star and video “love interest,” Madison McMillin. After breaking up and wondering through the city alone, Cody realizes, she’s not the only reason they broke up, he is also at fault.

Bieber Revolution in Downtown Franklin, TN

Christmas holidays are still a few months away, however Revolution Pictures’ Director Roman White made it snow on set of a Christmas-themed music video yesterday in downtown Franklin, TN. The music video featured teenage pop star, phenomenon Justin Bieber, for the lead single off his upcoming holiday-themed album. The video shoot was kept under close wraps, however many fans gathered in downtown Franklin to watch and listen. Bieber’s new album is thought to be released the beginning of November.

Director Ry Cox

Ry was raised in Los Angeles where he graduated high school at the tender age of fourteen and quickly switched from dreaming about what he wanted to do when he grew up to actually doing it. He survived the taunts of “Doogie Howser” in college and partnered with his older brother to write and direct award-winning music videos, commercials and short films. In 2010, Ry made the move from LA to Nashville for a change of scenery and a chance to explore the worlds of music videos and commercials with Revolution. “Heartfelt” and “attention-grabbing” are standard fare with this kid who strives to understand his audience and create pieces that move them.

Director Kristin Barlowe

Kristin has been connected to the advertising business in one way or another since the age of 14. A former model, Kristin traded summers on her parents’ dairy farm for trips between Milan, New York, and Tokyo. At 20, restless and eager for a new challenge she turned to agent and scouting work, finding and cultivating new faces featured in campaigns from Armani Exchange to Gianfranco Ferre’. It was on one of these shoots that the photographer noticed her talent for directing models and encouraged her to take his camera and shoot some images herself. Within the year she was shooting her first album cover and continued to work steadily as a photographer for a range of clients in music, fashion and advertising. In 2004, she directed her first music video after an executive at DreamWorks hired her to shoot a video at the same time as a photo shoot. That same year, Kristin began shooting commercial television spots for advertising agencies. Kristin’s wealth of experience in front of and behind the camera gives her the ability to approach each shoot not only with creative insight, but also strong production skills. Kristin’s unique perspective yields an organic and distinct style that stands out among her contemporaries.

TK Teams Up with NBC Sing Off Winners ‘Committed’

Director TK McKamy recently teamed up with Committed the winners of NBC’s Sing Off for the group’s first music video. The all-male group was founded in 2003 by a group of high school students from Forrest Lake Academy in Huntsville, Alabama. Committed arrives as part of the “Sing-Off” prize package, which included $100,000 and a trophy, in addition to a Sony recording contract. Only one number, the Al Green hit “Let’s Stay Together,” made it from the show and onto the album, which includes a cappella versions of Stevie Wonder’s “As,” Maxwell’s “Pretty Wings” and Chris Brown’s “Forever.” The first single is the spiritual-leaning “Break Free,” an original song that Thomas co-wrote.
