Ross Ching’s interest in film began as a teenager, matured through college at San Diego State, and has developed into an acclaimed technical innovator with a unique visual style. He began directing music videos and short films, some of which reached viral status. His viral video, Running on Empty, features time-lapse footage of San Diego devoid of traffic and has been featured on Huffington Post, Mashable, and the Los Angeles Times. He’s also directed music videos for Death Cab for Cutie, Kina Grannis, and other artists that have collectively reached over 50 million views. His brand work includes Popsicle, Acura, Dyson, and Shaw Floors. In addition, he also works as cinematographer and editor for most of his work.
